Dear Supporter
Maximizing Your Sponsorship for the Charity Orienteering Event!
I hope this letter finds you in great spirits and enthusiasm for the upcoming Golden Compass Charity Orienteering Event in support of Acorn Community Care. Your decision to participate in this event and raise funds for such an amazing cause is truly commendable. To help you make a significant impact and gather ample sponsorship, I’d like to share some valuable tips that can contribute to your success.
As you are aware, there is a minimum £50 sponsorship requirement to access this event, and the following tips should help you surpass this with ease.
- Print several sponsorship forms: Printing extra sponsorship forms is an excellent approach to getting more donations. Share these extra forms with your friends, family, and colleagues so they can ask people they know, to help you get more financial support.
- Utilize your Workplace: Your workplace can be an excellent source of sponsorship. Place a separate sponsorship form on your office notice board or any communal area where colleagues frequently gather. Make sure to include a brief description of the event and the purpose of raising funds for Acorn Community Care.
- Share Your Story and Motivation: Explain the impact this the Acorn Charity has on the lives of those in need and how their contributions can create a positive change for the community. People are more likely to donate when they understand the passion and dedication behind your participation.
- Social Media: In today’s digital age, social media platforms can be powerful tools for spreading the word. Use your social media accounts to promote the event, share updates on your training progress, and share heart-warming stories related to Acorn Community Care. Encourage your friends and followers to share your posts, expanding your reach even further.
- News; Have your local newspaper or parish magazine tell everyone what you are doing.
- Set Fundraising Goals: Setting specific fundraising goals can help motivate you and your sponsors. Let people know what you are doing and update them on your progress. Sharing your achievements will not only encourage more contributions but also make your supporters feel part of your journey.
- 100% to Charity; You can tell everyone that 100% of all proceeds go directly to the frontline support of very vulnerable and disabled people in North Yorkshire. No commissions, no administration costs. Every penny counts. All funds raised will go to supporting those local people in need. It could be on days out, care or equipment.
- Our ‘Top Tip’ is; If you ask your best sponsors to go on your form first, anyone else after this will look to see how much others are giving. So, try and get your £10 & £20 sponsors to fill the form in first. People tend to copy others.
- Most sponsors will be happy to pay you before the event, especially with it been for charity. Ask everyone if that would be ok, as collecting in later can sometimes be quite a chore. You can then either use your own bank account to send payment to the charity, or you can bring your sponsorship money in on the day.
Remember, every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference in the lives of those in need. Your dedication and determination will undoubtedly inspire others to join you in supporting Acorn Community Care.
Thank you for your commitment to making the Charity Orienteering Event a resounding success. Your efforts will have a lasting impact on the lives of many. Together, we can make a positive change in our community.
Best of luck with your fundraising endeavours!
Have a great day, and don’t get lost !
