I am a Health & Safety Manager at a local Engineering Company working in the Oil & Gas industry. I became aware of Acorn Community Care about 10 years ago when my wife started working for them. My impressions were forged as soon as I listened to Chris Holliday (CEO) talking about the charity and from seeing the amazing work they do and also meeting the guys/girls who work there on the farm attending the charities day service.

I was lucky enough to be asked to become a Trustee in 2019 and have enjoyed my time and have developed the connection between the charity and my company and we now release our workers to help develop or create new areas for the charity for one day a year.

Our first event was the garden and pond and all the team from RMS Pumptools have stated that it was one of the best days of their working life and look forward to continuing future projects. This is the magic that is Acorn.
